Description: Sitting on one side of the crater Susanne has painted the valley below and the other side of the old crater. The Crater bush was cleared by the many Kanakas that came to the area in the 1800's, and cane was grown there. Now cattle graze in the valley around the ridges. Some old homesteads remain but as time has passed more modern dwellings have sprung up on the upper ridges. Susanne has painted this to preserve the memory of the crater before it completely changes with urban development.

Description: This bush cemetery is where many kanaka's were buried in the Isis Shire. Many others were buried under trees. This is the traditional way to plant a tree were the dead is buried.
