—Five topics in Paul’s letter
This is a verse by verse study of Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians. The letter is divided into five topical sections. Tap any title next to an arrow in the list below.
Christ in Us (1:1-10) —We begin our study with the salutation or greeting, then a section concerning Christ in us.
Paul's Work (2:1 to 3:11) —Paul reviews his work among the Thessalonians. We can find in Paul's comments, at least twelve important aspects of his ministry.
Holiness in Life (3:12 to 4:12) —Paul emphasises holiness or sanctification. He teaches four important points about holiness.
The Second Coming (4:13 to 5:11) —Paul teaches about the second coming of Christ. Christians believe not only that Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended into glory, but also that he his coming again in the future to judge the world.
Relating to Each Other (5:12-15) —Paul provides teaching on the way in which members of the local congregation should relate to each other.
