Continuing our study of the Conquest of Canaan we note the apportionment of tribal territories.1

The numbers in brackets below are the chapters in the book of Joshua.

1 Territories East of Jordan

2 Territories West of Jordan

3 Other apportionments

1Note:— Twelve Tribes. The names of the territories apportioned do not match exactly with the twelve sons of Jacob, because the sons of Joseph (Ephraim and Manasseh) gained separate territories, whilst the Levites had no single territory as such, but were allotted various towns.
