Hard to Hear God

Hard to Hear (6)
—Sometimes God’s Truth Hurts

We present more hard sayings, teaching in the Bible that people find hard to hear and difficult to believe. This page is what we posted on facebook between 16 December 2019 and 14 January 2020.

Ask for the Ancient Paths

In the arrogance of this 21st century, many people regard the way of God as obsolete because it is ancient. But the old paths are the good way. God's ancient way is ever new.

Jer6:16

Into All the World

(1) We must preach every word of the gospel as God has gives us in the scriptures. (2) We must preach every day, as God has given us opportunity. (3) We must preach every one of us, as God has given us the ability.

Mark16:16

God is Not Mocked

The Bible teaches us that what we sow is what we will reap. If we sow to the flesh we will reap corruption but if we sow to the Spirit we will reap eternal life.

Gal6:7

As a Little Child

We can easily become puffed up and arrogant, rejecting the wisdom of God. We need to be like a child, humble and attuned to God. Jesus does not mean that we should be childish. Rather, we should be childlike in simplicity and openness.

Luke18:17

Preach the Word

Some preach only love, hope, comfort, and peace. They preach only what is "positive" to make people feel good. But we must also reprove and rebuke. We must do so in patience and truth, but we must do so nevertheless.

2Tim4:2

Jesus Has Spoken

Three most important truths about Jesus: (1) In these last days He was appointed to reveal the Word of God. (2) He is the Creator, the image and glory of God. (3) He purged our sins to reconcile us to God. We should listen to the Word Jesus inspired in the New Testament scriptures in the first century. We should not listen to the words of modern day "prophets".
